Scope and Content Note An unpublished, illustrated history of White House furnishings and socialcustoms. Surprised to find that the White House staff knew little about thehistory and significance of its furnishings, Mrs. Hoover researched and wrote adefinitive study which she intended to have published. Includes separatechapters for each administration.
